In support of Beninati for City Council

Editor,

I am writing to express my support for Nancy Beninati for Piedmont City Council. Nancy has the experience, integrity, leadership skills, and commitment to public service needed for the role.

I worked for many years with Nancy at the California Department of Justice. Nancy dedicated over 25 years of her career to working at the DOJ and I saw firsthand how well she balanced multiple interests and priorities, while keeping her focus on improving the lives of California people. She led multiple sensitive, complex matters where sound judgment was critical. On a personal level, Nancy served as a supervisor and mentor to me and many other attorneys, and challenged us to grow while always making us feel supported. I am confident that Nancy will draw from the skills and leadership qualities I observed and be an exceptional City Council member.

Nancy’s unwavering commitment to public service extends to our community. She has served as President of the League of Women Voters of Piedmont, on the Civil Service Commission, and on the Recreation Commission, and she has volunteered in our schools and youth programs. It is precisely this demonstrated, longstanding commitment to Piedmont that I look for in a City Council member.

I strongly encourage my fellow residents to support Nancy Beninati for City Council. As Nancy has already done for many years, she will bring thoughtful and principled leadership to the Council.
